Since the founding of the Gloggnitz cultural association in October 2021, the cultural life of the municipality has been extensively promoted and promoted. The association pursues the clear goal of establishing a cultural hotspot that reaches far beyond the location and importance. City councilor for culture and club chairman Peter Kasper is happy about the new start and the pooling of all forces: „We offer a wide variety of cultural events all year round – under moz art there will be concert evenings, readings and lectures from 2022, which will bring the genius Mozart from the 18th to the 21st century. Transform and reinterpret the century.”

The city has a whole range of fantastic venues to offer. These include historical treasures such as Gloggnitz Castle, which served as a monastery for 700 years from the year it was founded in 1094 before it was expanded into a magnificent building. But culture also takes place in state-of-the-art buildings. This is also the case in the Gloggnitz school complex, which only opened in 2019 and is currently well placed in the running for the international Mies van der Rohe Award – an architecture prize that the EU awards modern architecture with every two years. The school center has already received the Austrian Builder Award in 2021.”
“It is one of the nicest tasks to develop and expand Gloggnitz into a cultural center in the Semmering region. With our program we want to give the city with its almost 6000 inhabitants the clear profile of a cultural tourist community. This increases the quality of life and also the attractiveness of the location. National and international guests will convince themselves of the cultural highlights in our city and give Gloggnitz a lasting boost.”
Tickets for the top-class Gloggnitz program will soon be available online at www.moz-art.net and in selected advance booking offices.
